September 6, 2009- Guitar Hero 5 and Beatles Rockband have finally been released! From some reviews i've read Guitar Hero 5 is supposed to be great. I have no information about Beatles Rockband.

June 29, 2009- Hey swampert, you have to admit that guitar hero will always be better than rock band. Anyway, lately
there is a new final fantesy game I heard about coming out sometime soon (hopefully). It is called Final Fantesy Crystal Chronicles The Crystal Bearers. It looks promising. There is also a Transformers game coming out that seems to be interesting. I haven't seen the movies but I know that those kind of games usually have a fun storyline and that stuff.

June 16,2009- Just learned about a whole bunch of awesome Final Fantesy games coming out including Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord. I just can't help being obsessed with Final Fantesy:)

May 30, 2009- I have really been interested in RPG's lately. My friend is obsessed with them so I am learning alot about them. I have come to the conclusion that PSP's, Playstations, and the PC are the best RPG systems. Unfortunatly, I only have a wii, DS lite, and a slow computer. Hope I'll gat a PSP some time because the are some really good Final Fantasy games coming out for it.

April 2009- Have been seeing alot of D.S.I's around. They seem cool with the photo's and everything but not worth it if you already have a D.S. Nintendo is only just starting to come out with games for it. I am not getting it.

Narnia: Prince Caspian- I know, you might say "Movie games are always bad" and call this game bad before you play it but to me, Narnia:Prince Caspian isn't that bad. It has puzzles, fighting, and all those elements of a good game. It just has a few problems that don't let it excite me as the first Narnia game did. First, there is alot of puzzle solving compared to the amount of fighting which makes even patient people get annoyed. Second, the game has 6 long chapters instead of multiple medieum length levels making it take a while before you can save. Third, the game struggles with its plot and movie scenes. In my opinion, this game deserves a 6.5 out of 10.

Shadow of the Hegemon

I read Shadow of the Hegemon after a two day break from reading. So I was pumped up and ready to get started. This direct sequal to Ender's Shadow was probably the best of the seires so far. This one is about the next story after the Formic Wars. It consist of Bean & Petra, who were with Ender in Eros, Virilomi, another battle school graduate, and Peter, the abitious brother of Ender. The villain is Bean's Nemisis, Achilles (pronounced the french way A-shee-les) who is ready to kill Bean. In fact while Achilles tried bombing him his families house in the begining of the book. It was Sister Collareta, & Graff who swiped his family to safety. The majority of the book is Bean in hiding with Sister Collareta in Brazil, and Europe. You are also reunited with charecters from Battle School, Virilomi now working for the Indian goverment as a strtagist, and Suriyawong(Surly) working as a stratigist and semi active in Tailand's defense with the war with India. The structure of the story is that of a thriller. If you are a fan of a simple mystery, James Bond k.o.t., but kids this your book.

The praise I bring The Shadow of the Hegemon is because it is a diferent kind of book than Ender's Shadow, or Ender's Game. I know Orson Scott Card is a good writer, however I did not expect him to be able to write a wide range of novel types. It was pretty sweet watching the pictures in my mind make sense of the action and fast paced story.
This book also shows more of Peter's personality. Is he just as bad as Achilles? Or is he the runner up? I also liked learning about a little of Tai history that is told for reason but sumerised and condensed to the bitter extent.
I now see Orson's strength is showing children in moral chrisis. I hope in Shadow Puppets Bean is not to old. For me being around the same age as the main charecters gives the story a special relationship with me. I am not saying it is an advantage because these kids are super smart. Bean being at the brinks of possible brain power I give him the gold medal.
This book was probably the best so far because it has a great structure and is dealingmore or less with what Orson Scott Card is best at.
Valiant

Valiant wins cheers from all fantasy lovers. It is marveling how Holly Black manages to yet again create a world where fantastical creatures can live in modern society. Holly Black, who also co wrote the Spiderwick Chronichles, now brings us to uptodate Manhattan where Trolls, Ogres, and fairies of any form colive with our dull lives in hiding. they are either among the exiles, Bright Courts, or Night Courts. Among these exiles is the mysterious Troll, Ravenous. He manages a sort of buissness, Human Couriors such as the charechters Luis, and Valorie give the Troll's potion to fellow exiles who are suffering from Iron Sickness. That is what Faries get when they are constantly exposed to iron. Or as they say when they are living Ironside, in the city.
Something bad is happening, all of the Ravenous's customers are dropping like fireflies. They are being poisoned. Is it Ravenous? That is what a lot of the Faries think. When Val learns of the accusation, she tries to learn find out who the poisonor is.
Friends will flee. Swords will clash. And just maybe a human girl can win the heart of a troll.
This book 'ventures to a new horizon. This book is fairytale for young adults. It is not just merly the little books that are now juvenile compared to this. See, Holly is not afraid to show the gory bits of humans that a person in New York can not escape. I am not saying it makes it better. But it sure sets a tone to New York.
Another thing is how Holly potrays the heroe Val go through withdrawel. It gives you an insight of what it might be like to get off an addiction. It leaves an image of anxiety and torture in you mind.
I give Holly full praise for her creative works and I am looking forward to reading "Tithe". This book is for the Mature readers and Young Adult.

Ender's Shadow

Orson's books never cease to surprise me. When it appears it's going to be lame I am proved wrong. This chronichle in the Ender Saga does not defy that statement. A glorious formation of militatary, chsicology, children, & government affaris. Mr. Card continues to excell at creating charechters we attach with and refuse to leave like a fly and a muffin. Years after Ender's Game he was still able to tap into that great story. However, this is from Bean's point of view.
Bean begins the book in the streets of Rotterdam. He has no home, no family, no food. At the edge of starvation , in Bean's desperation he finds a susceptable crew or gang. He is accepted by Poke, the cheif, the sign of this was 6 peanuts she fed him. The four yearold Bean joins the crew with an empty stoumochue, dry mouth, no name, no friends. He emerges from it with a name & taking Poke's crew to the highest status in the streets. of Rotterdam with Achilis as the new crew cheif now called "Papa". Bean new he was the wrong one, Poke wouldn't listen, and she would pay greatly for it. Bean eventualy joins Battleschools, forever under Ender's Shadow. Trying to deal with questions. Whom are my family? Why am I genious? Am I human? Can Ender beat Ender's Game?
Bean is a believable genious. He is fascinating because he is diferent. That diference is in humanity. His hunger, curiosity to understand everything. I wouldn't mind being in Bean's army.
The major strengths of Orson's is how able to write and potray his charechters. He gives each a unique voice. You know how they say it without him telling us. But you know this is how it was intended to sound because it was writin well. He is also able to capture certain emotions that are moving, such as compassion.
Ender's Shadow was equally as good as Ender's Game. You would have to be na idiot not to love these books.

Yossel

Yossel is a Graphic Novel written and drawn by Joe Kueburt. It is a tale about a young Jewish boy in Holocoust Poland. It is young Yossel and his family that are sent to the Warsaw Ghetto, a designated area for Jews. There they are fed little and live in tenaments.The Warsaw ghetto was not a happy wonderland for Yossel. Neverthess, to the people there talk of Death Camp was like talking about an exagerated fairy tale. Why would they kill us? So in those days ahead Yossel saw death and suffering often and daily. Families are seperated. People die.
However, Yossel has a gift. He is excellent and drawing. It is the only thing that can clear his mind and take it off all the terible events around him.
Sometimes he finds himself drawing things of interest. But it usual takes a more depressing turn. His art reflect his emotions. He kind of uses it as a way to deal with things.
In fact it is his love for drawing that catches the eye of the gaurds. They begin to give Yossel extra food if he draws for them. It keeps him alive. But others begin to give him dirty looks.
All those accept his friends. They are young like him the oldest being 24. Morcedai is the leader. He tells Yossel to keep an open ear for he knows soon there is going to be an uprising against the Germans. The Warsaw uprising. they are just weighting for that moment...for someone to push a little to hard.
The story was well writon. It was in context to history and showed the realisim of Death camp. Sometimes it was brutal. Yet I prefer the realisim.
This graphic novel was partialy deppressing. Part of it was the style it was drawn in. The raw pencils added a certain tone to the story that is hard to capture with code or words. This made the art moving occasionaly.
It was enjoyable to read and look at, nonetheless. In some strange way I wish I could reread it again maybe I could grasp some of the emotion a second time. That is what stories are arn't they. You read them to get a chance at a experiencing something you otherwise would never come into contact with. Don't let me ramble. There have been many books and movies about the Holocoust. I was just surprised it was in the medium of a graphic novel.

ENDER'S GAME
The past few days I have reread Ender's Game. The last time I had read Ender's Game was in the early weeks of 7th grade. Now, I remember why I liked it so much. The charechters. They were always one of the best parts. But this book also brought cool ideas like the Battle room.
Ender's Game is a story of a young boy named Andrew Wiggan. However, he calls himself Ender. His family is made up of the sweet Valentine, the Murderous Peter, and his Parents.
The parents were intreged me. The father was once a Catholic a member of a family of five. In addition, Ender's mom was a Morman. They were part of big families. In this future you are only aloud to have two childeren, so only two of both of there families got a free education. When they grew they renounced their faiths and seperated themselves from their families. A so their children wouldn't have to go through being a third, fourth, or fifth. See, people were not that welcomed if they were a third or fourth child it was against the law. However, despite what they said they did they decided to name their children after legitment saints, and babtised everyone of them after they were born. The mother was only upset because they were babtised Catholic rather than Morman. But that is not why they had three children.
They had three children because the Goverment told them to. See, each one of the children tested to see if they had potential for a goverment program. They had a monitor attached to them so the Goverment could see heer and feel what they excperienced. Peter, he was to murderous. Valentine, she was to loving. So they thought if they had one more child it would be perfect.
Ender grew and grew and it was time to get the monitor disconected he was relieved. It was good he thought because that ment Peter would'nt be envious. But Ender was wrong. The goverment chose him for their program.
The program was battle school. Battle school was where the most brilliant kids trained to become commanders. They were training for the third Bugger war. The Buggers are the nickname they gave to the Formics that had twice invaded Earth.
At the Battle school Ender would be isolated, make friends, fight enemies and overall, he would reach to his full potential.
The book was great. Orson gave you an idea of what it was to be like Ender. How apropriate that he was the one who wrote the book Characters and Viewpoint. It was no surprise that one of the best aspects of the book was the charecters. He did do a good job at creating characters that were entertaining and not boring, so I had even more data to now confirm that he was the best to write that book.
Many of the Characters I loved were not completly explored, but you got the main idea of their personalities. An example of that would be Bean, a young genious. You see he is a genious but don't learn much of his back story. That is why next time I go to the library I am going to check out Ender's Shadow. That book is the same story as Ender's Game but from Bean's POV.
The part I could relate to best in this book was the part that is the most outrageous. After Ender leaves to battle school, Peter and Valentine became good friends. They were going on to websites and disguising as adults named Demosthenes, and Locke. This may seem outrageous but they were planning on taking over the world. Mainly Peter, he was the one that thought of the idea. Together they debated, wrote news columns, and gained influence on the nets. The thing that I can relate with is that there have been times when I could imagine myself taking advantage of the internet like that. Wondering what it would be like to do what they did. I may have never did it but I have sought out ways you could possibly do what they did, in real life.
I was unsure at first when I noticed I liked Peter. Maybe, it was his brilliance. Maybe, not. After reading this book again I now realize I understand Peter. I know why he does things. I know why he threatened his brother. And I pity him. He was the murderous who grow up to save millions. Ender was the compasionate one who live to kill Milions. No matter what they did, I loved both characters.
The Characters, the plot, elements that remind me of Harry potter, this was an awsome book and will surely be regarded as one of the best Sci-Fi books ever.
